When creators use short clips from multiple copyrighted sources such as TV shows, news segments, or old movies in a transformative way (e.g. commentary, analysis, or mashups), how does YouTube's Content ID system handle overlapping or partial matches from different copyright owners? Does it prioritize one claim over another, or can multiple partial claims restrict monetization simultaneously? I'm curious how YouTube resolves disputes when the video is an original composition of mixed copyrighted content used under fair use.
