We know how important of it to be motivated for working toward success.
I just want to read many perspectives about it and I think we could share our techniques. It would be fun.
What keep me motivated is my parents,I just want to take care pf my family and make them proud of me.

So what keep you guys motivated?

I just think of the payoff and the amount of money I will be able to hand down to my children when I die.

I noticed lately i don't rely on motivation quite as often anymore.Right now i just DO the thing. The funny thing is, i'm more productive when i'm depressed, i just take action and risks because i don't give a fuck(apathy).

But when i'm motivated and inspired about something, i can't do a single thing..My heart's racing and my mind conjures up these wonderful possibilities and ideas. For me this is a good time to PLAN.And i wait until i get depressed again so i can execute the plan.

    It's weird i know.

My motivation? Desire to spit on my "friends", who emotionally bullied me at school, from my new Audi.

Money. The more I make, the happier I am. That's motivating me. It's also a good thing to mark down some goals you wanna achieve. :)

Lately I just take 30 minutes to read the news how Europe is going to hell and I come to a conclusion that I'll have to move to another country in about 10 years. That keeps me motivated as hell.

I guess money really motivates me. There are plenty of other things like supporting my family, living a better life, doing what I actually like, creating different type of businesses etc.

I think I never lack any motivation because I love what I do and I am happy when I do it. That is the good thing when you are pursuing your passion. Recommending this to everyone who lacks motivation!

Motivation can wane and is too dependent on mood and circumstance for my liking, it's fickle. Sometimes it's extremely hard to get motivated and focus, how many times have you found yourself thinking 'yes I know why I ought to be working, my dreams, family, goals etc but today I just don't feel like it...I need a break...'. Don't get me wrong motivation is excellent when you have it but it's not always there when you need it.

Habit though, habit is what will really determine where you are in 12 months time. If you build good habits, things that you HAVE to do every day that become part of your autopilot program, you'll be more productive than you've ever imagined and with very little effort (after the initial period). The reason being that things you do without thinking, require little mental effort, your brain doesn't get chance to argue with itself anymore, you just get things done, just like driving a car.

Research suggests that it takes around 21 days to fully develop a habit and I've always found the first week to be the worst. As a practical example before lunch time, I have to create 1 new PBN site, every morning without fail and it's now a habit. I used to hate creating them, the content creation, initial setup etc was such a chore for me. By the end of the week now though, I have minimum of 7, that's 28 a month and huge ranking power. Once that's done, that's a productive day for me, I feel great, anything else on top is a bonus. You start feeling like a person that gets things done which has a knock on effect to everything you do or set your mind to.

My biggest motivation is a joy of learning. A never ending thirst to soak up knowledge like a sponge.

Thoughts follow actions, so act motivated and motivation will follow :)

My motivation came from reading your post, lol. Perhaps because I can relate to it as I was struggling and being lazy on PBN building too and other similar things. But recently, I am getting things done which in itself is motivating.

One PBN site a day! Nice. It's good habits, and small little steps like this that will pay off big in 12 months from now. One step at a time.

    Money. What else?

Anyone who says otherwise is lying ;) I promise you, if there was no money in IM, nobody would do it 'for fun'

I've read some time ago, that the best motivation is called "slap motivation".
People who have such motivation, as a rule, had been powerfully "slapped in the face". Such a strong slap, that they were over-motivated right from beginning. Before rage. Life has put them in the conditions when you can't do nothing. You have no choice, there is no possibility. The charge of such a force is based in the deep emotions. And this emotion is not always positive.

In my case it was failing job one after another, I was fired despite being good worker. So when I finally managed to stay at one work for more then a half a year, I am motivated to death, to be the best I can.

I have a kid and I think how I need to work my a** off to give her the best future possible in this uncertain world. Best motivation ever. Besides that, I just accept that I will succeed and I think of achieving a task like something completely normal. I am a big believer that the universe gives you what you wish for :)
