I am a bit cautious on how twitter make their money? They had adsense at a time, but now not anymore.
So does anyone know how Twitter make money off their site? Or what are they going to plan?

Thanks,

twitter? havent you ever seen the "trending" tweets section in the sidebar? The top tweet will always have a promotional symbol next to it. That is one of the main sources of twitter revenue. People will pay to have a trending tweet which gives them (the paying customer) huge visibility.

If this didn't make sense, just google: how does twitter make money

Wow o wow, never knew of that. Thanks guys.

And here I was thinking that celebrities just had to go in person to the Twitter headquarters and sign something and then Twitter would put a "Verified" on their account to prove the celebrity's account is real.

Silly me. They just have to pay $15K.

I am having twitter verified account i want to sell it for 1000$ having 100k followers

Investments. Do some research into the funding rounds they have had. They are a private company, so they are mostly funded by investments. Pretty normal for a company of their popularity. They might make some from promoted tweets(25-75k per), but not much compared to the hundreds of millions of capital invested by their investors.

One of the largest (and an increasing trend) sources of revenue is Twitter selling user data, exemplified by the selling of old tweets.

Traditionally Twitter has always found it hard to make serious money, with the chief even coming out and saying this a little while back/
