I hope one day to become a successful entrepreneur like many of the great members of Bhw :)
In school were working on a simulated business plan, finding location, chancels of distribution,Target market etc..
I want my plan to be based of on internet Marketing . so here goes the QUESTION : How does Trafficvance/Directpcc and other advertising work?
I understand that they use web apps mobile advertising .. but i don't understand how they make the network or how they get people to accept their ads.
This is what i understand: Ex. Google is a Search engine ( a stupid one :P) , people use the search engine to find things. In return of their service the search engine(Google) gets to put ads, People pay to advertise through ads and Google makes money.

Im very excited about the future. I can see everyone using phones (its already happening). I feel that theirs a better way to advertise through smart phones tablets and such. I just want to know how they get to building the network and capital . Im (16) so i have some time to make this a reality...
I know theirs so many other things to factor in but this is whats getting me .

Thanks!

traffic is a mindset.

think about grocery shopping. you can pick up a can of coke at a convenience store, at a walmart, a wholesaler, or direct from coca cola (u know what i mean)

I think the companies you listed are just the middlemen. Chances are they are reselling other people's traffic or they generated some from the different facets of internet mediums (that is social, mobile, display and search). I dont know how legit they are, but the BIG clients stay away from shady sources. (JC penny got f-ed when they did seo spam, google that for a good case study)

here are some things you should search for to learn more about the legit industry:
real time bidding
demand side platform
ad exchanges
adexchanger
multi channel attribution
remarketing

Different channels have different values. People that do email marketing can tell you that their traffic converts better than any PPV buy's or social media content. I only write this because cheap traffic has a value.
