Hello there, I am starting my TikTok account to use it as a funnel to attract new subs to my other media and to directly find customers from it. Most of my customers are likely to be from a couple particular countries.

Does it matter what country my TikTok account is assigned to or it can be any respectable TikTok Geo? For example is it better to have Turkish account to attract Turkish followers or German will still work fine?

Can TikTok implicitly change my Geo based on my IP/VPN or language of content? Are there any interesting tips regarding how TikTok handles account/sub geo relationship?

they read your sim and ip, so if you have a separate phone, you can test a paid vpn and/or post content in your target's language

TikTok's geolocation feature doesn't rely on just one factor, but rather a combination of signals to determine your location and which area's content you should be viewing. Simply put: TikTok is very location-sensitive

TikTok Geo works off your SIM card, IP address, and device language; not your profile location.

It pushes content to your local audience first before expanding. Want to crack a different market? Use a local SIM or residential proxy, match the device language, and engage with content from that target region before posting.
 
It cannot change automatically, so I recommend making the language of the video the language of the country whose audience you want to reach, working without a SIM card in your phone, and using a VPN server from the country you need. This is usually sufficient.
 
it depends on your sim card and ip address. if you want to target germany then you need a german sim and proxy. tiktok sees your location and shows content to local people. best way is to use a clean phone with the target country sim.

It's GEO based on your network, SIM's IP if you're using data and language. However, if you manage to make a couple of viral videos in English or Spanish (most common spoken language) it expands your reach to the English and Latin audience respectfully.

You might need mobile proxies for switching geos. Even so, it's best to have the account from 0 being in a specific geo.
 
TikTok reads ip, sim, device settings and content language all together to guess target GEO.

Imo, the account geo doesn’t matter that much. TikTok mostly cares about who watches and engages with your videos first.

If your early viewers are from the country you want, the algorithm usually keeps pushing it to similar users there.

If you want an audience in turkey, you really need to use a turkish sim card, otherwise, a german account will just show your videos to people in germany

TikTok can adjust your account's effective geo over time based on consistent IP and especially the language in your videos/captions. So u can try match the account geo to your main target countries or use the local language consistently in every video and caption and focus on content that really resonates with that specific audience.

Using VPN doesn't solve the problem. You need to be living in the country where you need audience. It's quite straightforward.
