How does this site make money?

Hello guys,

I have researched the financial market news-landscape and found that for example there are some sites like this: dakotafinancialnews.com, marketbeat etc.

From my understanding this site is mainly copying or only rewritting news articles. So SEO wise it should perform poorly and adsense should even consider banning such a site. However, adsense is active on this site.

So I would like to get your opinion on:

How does such sites operate and generate traffic?
How does it make money? What are similar sites in other niches?
What is your opinion for 2019, does this still work?

they are all included in bing news / google news and they churn hundreds of garbage articles per day related to stock listed companies.

It seems to actually be blocking Google from ranking it. Only 9 "results" when searching site:dakotafinancialnews.com and the results redirect to the main marketbeat website. So it definitely isn't relying on Google search engine traffic in any way. It's very well done though in my opinion.

It’s company stats taken from other sources, and inserted into a generic format. Study some articles and you begin to see similarities between them apart from the stats and company names changed.

They must just apply for news inclusion. meeting the requirements

Why isn`t adsense killing the account`, as many "viral websites" are losing their account because of penalty? What`s your guess?

I am not denying that these websites are part of a big network, but there is a big difference between being included and not included in Bing news for example.

Also, from my 2 seconds of searching Google, it appears all of the content on Baseball Daily Digest is original content that dates back for years. They are a real legit website from what I can see.

the websites the OP posted are older ones. I researched these about a year or so ago, I operate in similar niche. Maybe they got removed but you can clearly see on the bing news link above the other same format articles on other sites are still included on bing and probably google finance too
