How Does this Plan Sound?

I'm a real estate agent and am trying to rank for my service area.

I have about 45 towns surrounding me. What I'm doing for each town is writing a unique article with statistics on the town with real estate figures incorporated and graphs correlating with the data in each article.

I'm trying to rank for the keyword [town name+real+estate+agent]

The articles I'm writing have URLs of sitename.com/town-name-real-estate-agent

Does this sound viable? It's a lot of work to do this for 40+ towns, though articles I wrote a couple days ago are now ranking on 5th page. Each article I'm writing is unique and is about 1000 words

Am I on the right track? I was planning on continuing to write these articles and include my keyword a few different places throughout the articles and then buying some backlinks when the articles are written.

If you've got pages indexed and ranking in a week, then you're on the right track.

Sounds like you are on the right track to me. So far your ranking seems to be good after that amount of time.

Sounds good. You might need some links to your root or the most competitive ones though. Go for quality links, nothing spammy. Or even genuine out reach as your content sounds great

Would buying links work?

I saw another RE agent who had some decent SEO. I did a backlink search and it was in a massive index of links like "clash of clans CHEATS" and "3d sexcam girls".

Is that what i would be buying if i bought cheap backlinks?

Your approach seems to be pretty good, but you should be careful not to buy low quality backlinks.

It sounds great for the beginning. For the next steps, I suggest you write more tips such as "How to find cheap real estate + Town name blah blah. Or such topic: Why would you want to buy ...+ in Town name". Just some of my experiences.

You really need some serious links to rank in that niche with proper inter linking.
