Hi, few days ago i put a video on youtube, title has "how to make money" in it...
its not a tutorial about making money or anything, just shows what some city council has done to someone...
basically i picked the name because its related and i was thinking if it ever goes viral, having these words on topic will help monetize..
i've never done any youtube videos before..
anyway without ever promoting it at all, i already got 2500 views in a few days (2 days actually)
i got a private message from someone, seems very automated to me...:
Hello {MY-USERNAME}, I loved your video ''{MY-VIDEO-NAME}'' and willing to pay some $$$ if you place my link in your video description. Please let me know what you think

How should i approach this? how could he scam me? are 2500 views that good? should i place my own link?

your opinion please

Just pop your own link in there.
2500 views is nothing, will make you next to nothing but something is always better than nowt.

Spam..move on...unless they have left detailed contact info.....A link on a 2500 view video is barely worth 50p

hehe thought so, but this video was uploaded 2 days ago and all of the views are legit, I think it might be worth trying to pump it up and make it viral, since its quite good actually... if anyone wants some part in this let me know

Coincidentally, I just read a WSO that suggest this very method to get backlinks i.e contact people through youtube whose video has decent views but don't have any links in the description. I guess this person is just implementing this method LOL

I think the WSO is ViralCPA Club or something like that

I've gotten that spam email for my not popular video. It's just spam nothing more.

Have a look at the channel who sent it to you first. Usually there will be comments left on their page.

yea there are lots of Bots out there who (usually based on keyword) will scrape Youtube for videos that have a lot of comment activity and send that message. It is a wonderful way to get traffic. If someone with a popular video has a lot of real views and activity, it can be a big money-maker from the targeted traffic.

It's obviously just automated spam, just ignore it and fyi 2.5k views is nothing.
