How Does This Guy Do It? Any Ideas Appreciated :)

Hey everyone, I've been working my a** off on a "Google Trends" site I've been working on these past two weeks, and so far I have not been ranked on the first page Google Web results.

I was wondering if anyone could tell me how I could achieve a similar effect to the last result in this screenshot:

This guy's site has constantly ranked #1-10 on tons of the latest Google Trends, I'd really appreciate if anyone could tell me what he's doing to do achieve that.

I'd also like to know how he get's that "wp-register.php?TRENDGOESHERE" effect.

I don't see how he monetize it

Well I see he definitely has the keywords down, but I also see how he's monetizing it.

Click on a picture, it takes you to one of those fake virus scans. He's affiliating for a computer cleaner/virus scanner.

Here's a similar site that monetizes by redirecting to a custom Google Search page: w*w.mertguner.com/mpress/wp-rss2.php?nfl-schedule/

Here's what I don't understand, both site's main pages look pretty legitimate. Anyways, if anyone knows what script being used it called, please let me know.

What about the rankings? How does the first site continuously rank high for all the trend keywords.
