There is a site called Sankaku Complex (I'm too new a member to link to it, just google the name). I'm sure some of you are familiar with it. It's pretty popular in its niche, focusing on Asia and especially Japanese comics/cartoons. There is a lot of adult themed content, and they frequently post explicitly nude photos. At the same time they run Amazon affiliate ads all over their site. How do they do this? Isn't it against the TOS? I know Amazon sells adult products, but as far as I'm aware, they forbid sites with adult content from running their affiliate ads. There is no way they are unaware of Sankaku Complex as I'm sure the site is sending them a good amount of traffic.

Amazon sometimes is relaxed if you promote them on erotic sites. Or maybe they just didn't catch him..

Don't have any clear idea but I think they haven't noticed it yet.

I care because I run an adult site and I'd love to be able to run Amazon affiliate ads on it for adult products.

At least one of the major er, natural pharma sites is running G ads, and they've been around for a while - surely longer than one payout/initial review period. This, despite the fact that G doesn't officially allow any pharmaceutical or supplement related sites to run their ads. I suspect the answer is the same as for the OP - it makes them money. Especially since they allow advertisers to sell things they don't officially allow their publishers to publish.

edit: readability
