How does this 5 day old website have a valid pagerank 4 domain?

I don't like to name other people's sites but this guy is doing something dodgy by selling links on which seems to be a PR4 domain.

The site is: http://www.4causes.net and has 0 links pointing to the domain and was also registered 5 days ago. There has not been a PR update for at least a month, so how does he have a PR4?

When I insert the domain into http://www.archive.org/ I get a result for the 8th of January 2011 and goes to a different site that is also a PR4

The site shows up as having valid pagerank and I can't work out how he is doing it. Any ideas?

site age says December 2010 on the seobook toolbar

if the site A is redirecting to PR 4 site B it will show that the site A has PR4

i forget what its called but you know how you can transfer link juice and stuff with google by saying you moved your site to a new domain URL - maybe thats what he did

but if it was a 301 redirect it would show up as fake pagerank

That's called a permanent 301 redirect. But in 5 days, results like these are not possible.

I know several domains like this and one is a PR8 which is for sale for $10,000, hope nobody buys it.
