Hey guys I had a dilemma today I hope you can solve.

I was wondering how the domain .whatever affects seo and if it does at all.

My situation is I want to build several small/temporary sites to test some traffic methods, at least 15 of them.

Rather than shelling out 5-10 for each domain name, I thought about just grabbing a free one ,( .tk, .co.cc, .co.nr)
How would these fair in search engine rankings? How much of a difference does it make?

go with .com
those suffix u mentioned has been spammed a hell out of them due to their free availability

I said in my post I would rather not buy .coms/orgs/nets. I asked how using a free one would affect seo.

Thanks for reply though

He said they were spammed the hell out of which means they don't fare well for SEO. As for testing other traffic methods, you could use them as well as blogger and wordpress.com for free blogs.

Once you find something that works and you want to focus on, you should probably buy the .com or .org. Free sites are ok for testing but you don't want to put too much work in them because they could be deleted for no reason whatsoever.
