Not that I'm saying i want to do it to my site but if I were to buy a site; anyways I'm just wondering how someone adds fake PR to their website?

Forward google spiders to another domain and keep everyone else on the current domain.

Why do you need it? as long as it's not affecting your google rank, it's useless...

They can take a domain, redirect it to a site that has PR, and then once the next PR update comes remove the redirect. The domain will now have fake PR.

There's another way to do this other than the way mentioned above and it's supposed to stick, but it's a bit complex and I don't fully understand how to do it. It's something I'd like to learn though just to be able to do it.

That's called cloaking technique, I think you can google about it or search this forum, I'm sure there were such topics

People like fake PR so that they can sell links from the fake PR, pretty useful if you like scamming people.

You can check if there are high pr domains redirecting to the site with Ahrefs.com, that can give you a pretty good idea.
