How does senuke compute competition?

I've been using SEnuke for quite some time now, and I've noticed that in the niche research module it has told me that many of the easy keywords I have ranked for that weren't tough at all give me a, So I am just curious how they come up with this figure, because I have ranked very easily for some that are rated as "Don't waste your time".

I think they compute it with the number of Google results for a certain keyword.

There are 3 or 4 options for computing difficulty. I don't have access to my senuke right now so I can't tell you all of them. I use the setting for "all in title" which checks for sites that have the keyword in the title of the post or page and counts the results.

There is another search for "all in title" and "all in anchor" which adds all the backlinks with the keyword as an anchor text from the sites returned in the search results.

Im the same way, I have senuke but I do this part manually! I check "in title"! I look at the sites with the highest PR there! If its three or more PR4-PR5 I back off. Also look for 'weaklings" sites with little or no PR. And I look at all the sites Titles. See if someone is missing little things that my help you take there spot. Download; SEO Quake if you dont have it. This will cut your time in half!

Seo quake has been really buggy lately. Thanks for the info. I prefer MS and traffic travis to gauge my competition.

I HAVE THE SAME PROBLEM as dishnetbo what`s the best method to check for low competition keywords that its easy to rank for ????!!
