Just curious, will the promoter create a topic from an account, then comment from other accounts, while mentioning the brand and their link?. or is there something i'm missing?

one way to promote on reddit is

search: keyword + reddit.com

This will give you threads where you can promote.

comment on those
use one account for one comment.

Thats basically the approach, but the challenge is keeping it organic. Spreading posts naturally, using varied accounts, and adding real engagement makes promotion effective without drawing unwanted attention.

When it feels like normal user behavior instead of promotion, it usually flies under the radar much longer.

Mostly yes soft seeding. Good promos use aged accounts to start discussions, add value in comments, and avoid direct linking early links come later or via profile.
