How does post count actually work?

Title says it all... I’ve been trying to get my post count up so I post in the JV section and I’m stuck at 21 messages. What am I missing here?

If you're hoping to start a JV, it would be helpful if you have already made informative posts proving your experience and knowledge within that field.

As @Stavro mentioned, lounge posts don’t count.

Also, it’s important to think quality over quantity - otherwise you risk an infraction for post count inflation.
