    Hey guys!

I really appreciate all of the tips and advice on here. You guys rock!

Instead of buying a SEO package for one of my money sites, I want to give it a shot doing it myself and see how it works out. Here is my plan:

Tier 0: Money site optimized for a very easy keyword

Tier 1: I create some hand-made Web 2.0's optimized for similar keywords. (Question: Should I optimize for the exact keyword?)

Tier 2: I link to the handmade 2.0's with blog comments purchased from here, and maybe some purchased 2.0's?

Will this work? Do you have any suggestions for more Tier 1 links other than 2.0's? Is Tier 3 something worth doing?

    Thanks again!

If its a very easy keyword like you say then it would probably rank by itself if the onpage is optimised in the first place. Manual web 2.0s will help if you put up decent demi-sites with 4-5 pages of content and a video is a nice touch. Im finding that web 2.0s need to age a bit before they have any power. I always optimise my web 2.0s for my keywords but on an average project I would be targetting 15-30 keywords. If you only have one keyword I would be wary of over optimising in general.

Yes I would say it's a pretty good method. You are smart for starting this way, way too many people jump in and try to rank for competitive keywords with no idea what they're doing. Rank this really easy site you're doing now, then try one a tiny bit harder, and soon you will have a repeatable STRATEGY you can use to rank more competitive sites.

To be honest, every other SEO'r has been doing it. Try something different like, guest posting on really high quality sites (whitehat style). Then build a couple of web 2.0/blog comments on those links.

    Thanks guys for the advice!

Any other links I can do myself? One of you suggested guest blogging, but that wouldn't really fit my keyword.

Don't worry about the keyword. Just gain some good backlinks using the brand name and raw url as your anchor text.

I think before you set out on this adventure you should think about the model of business you
are trying to grow. Are you looking at building authority sites or Churn and burn sites?

I think it's quite a basic plan tbh. But try it, you may have success if your keywords are low comp.
main thing is: if it doesn't work you need to modify the plan and try again.

The plan looks very good. You can try to rank without tier 3. Its really good to start with easy keywords and move to harder ones. This way you'll see what works for you. The most important point in every plan is to take action)

use domcop and godaddy auctions to find expired/auction domains that match the niche. If it's a low competition niche only a couple of homepage links should allow you to rank. As you make more and more, increase the size of your PBN until eventually you will be able to rank for medium/hard competition keywords!

Or just buy some links. Make sure the ones you buy are PERMANENT though. It'll be much cheaper for you in the long run.

For an easy keyword, good on-page and a few 2.0's will usually do the trick. I would perhaps just add more 2.0's rather than powering them up with blog comments - I've actually had bad experiences with blog comments the last time I used them, about 3 months ago; the 2.0's that they were pointed at seemed to lose their efficacy.

I study hundreds of domains in a week and I can tell you blog comments are most often deleted after some time. Think about it: a quality site will either a) not allow spammy comments or b) will periodically scan and remove them. So often the only comments that don't get deleted are from either dead or dying sites - not great for passing along authority or trust.

Your plan looks pretty good. But I am gonna have to call my buddy who's an expert on plans that are pretty good so I know what I am dealing with here.

    Suggestions:

    1. Create 15-20 web 2.0s with articles drip fed.
    2. Get your social profiles up on the major sites such as fb,g+twitter,YT.
    3. Search for your keyword and leave comments on top ranking sites.
    4. if you profit, make a PBN too.
    5. Get your on page sorted. This is a basic area where a lot of people fuck up.

    That's pretty much it.

    That's a great Idea...
Ranking with a easy and low competition keyword and then working upwards...
    Its a good strategy....

Hey guys! Thanks again for the input. One last questions:

Do I need to use a proxy when setting up the 2.0's? I use chrome with my Google account logged in, will that alert them that I'm the one setting these up?

What is everyone calling an easy keyword? Are we talking about search volume or competition on page 1?

Also what is over-optimizing if you are only targeting one keyword? Is it simply the absence of other search volume keywords?

Theres lots of examples of easy keywords. Page one competition is a good place to start but I would categorize an easy keyword as one that nobody else is doing any seo for. Either because it has little to no profit potential to marketers or is a specific business exclusively for local seo.

Over optimising will get you flagged as spam by Google and they have clamped down on it in the last three years. If you only have one keyword you will have to diversify it as much as possible and not go overboard on an emd/H1H2 tags/title tags and keyword stuffing.
