I was wondering if anyone have any vast experience with Multi-Level Marketing before. I was invited to join a conference where they discussed some companies who are excited to have more agents working for them.

I am experienced in affiliated marketing, but how different is that from MLM as far as income stream goes? This company is ranked pretty well in INC 500. I've done a good amount of researched but needed some opinion of those who have been in MLM or have relatives who are in it and think it's lucrative.

I have this company's info down but is it worth it to invest a start-up fee. I know it works since there are over dozens of these agents at the conference who now have residual income from selling the service. What's your take on this, guys? Is it worth it?

multi level marketing = pyramid scheme = usually illegal

it's basically you refer people and get % of their commissions, imo it's for newby "entrepreneurs".

Yup, that's your typical MLM bullshit. Stay away from it at all cost.

Are you talking about GDI ?
My very first attempt at earning money online was with a MLM network (GDI). I didn't earn too much
but because I was a beginner, I learned a lot about IM so for me it was worth it.
Just a few month back someone from my ex upline sent me an e-mail
to ask how am I still getting singups under my (idle) account since I'm out of it for more than 3 years now.
Hmm... I think I should pay the fee just for one month
to check up my account. Maybe I am a millionaire and I don't know it. :D

The MLM company makes it's money from the promoters by selling them marketing packages/websites/product promos/samples/demo kits/etc.

You cannot make a significant money with them, and most don't even break even, then quit. The whole premise is "If you get 10 people, then they get 10 people" and so on to pull more salesmen in to buy more marketing shit. However, no one will ever have anywhere near the downline these companies paint in their head's.

In short, they don't work and are scams, even if the products are real.

Yes, it does work...BUT it's a business, just like any other business. The reason why only about 2% of the people who are in the industry make any real money is because they are LAZY and don't market properly or treat it like a real business. AND it's NOT a pyramid scheme either, pyramid schemes are illegal and MLM / Network Marketing is not, there is a big difference. Robert Kiyosaki, Warren Buffet, Donald Trump and many more very successful business people are big endorsers of network marketing.

According to the U.S. department of labor and the Direct Selling Association, with the same time and effort you would put into a regular job, you are 5 times more likely to make over $100,000 annually in network Marketing than you would working a job. (J.O.B. = Just Over Broke).

Most people who call Network Marketing a scam are people who have either never tried it and are just going by what the've heard or people who have tried it and gave little to no effort and failed because they were looking for push-button wealth, which doesn't exist in any legal business. Too many people invest $20-$100 and expect miracles.

I am with a Network Marketing company and I make money with it, every month. I've had as high as $1625.00 DAYS, I have the proof and I'm just getting started. The best part is, I don't have to recruit anyone. No talking to friends and relatives, no home parties or hotel meetings , no picking up the phone and no products to ship. People ask me what I do, I tell them. If they want to know more, great! If not, no worries. I don't bother anyone. If you have questions, I'd be happy to answer them, just PM me or hit me up on Skype. I've been on here since 2008 and I don't B.S. anyone :)

simple: setup a wp site with some nulled script that looks good->get a copywriter that writes the best megabest-ultimative-overnight-you'll-be-a-millionaire salestext-> create a gazillion of wierd and full of false promises videos-> buy clicks -> collect funds!

here's a special twist: sell the emails to more people like you.

soon you can be here a exec. vip. if you reach the billion $ you get a secret invite. then you'll have to walk one month on one feet and drink 5 liters tequila in 2 hrs. beat chuck norris in mind reading and should you pass these things you'll get into the secret club. which allows you to make money with just a telephatic note from your head. but ppssssssst, please tell no one i told you that.

:D

Multi Level Marketing isn't a pyramid scheme its a type of affliate program.

Thanks you guys. I went through with the MLM and started earning about $500 thanks to my friends who are pretty good with networking and work in a professional field with a lot of clients. I'm not sure if this is a scam but hope whoever is looking into MLM, if it's several hundred buy-in, I'm sure you'll make it all back with time and effort. MLM so far has been good to me. It would still be great if others can share the MLM they are in and what they do to gain some much customers the most efficient way...

Its not worth it to join a MLM, but to create your own program, by ordering branded products from Chinese manufactures, thats what most of the MLM companies do.

MLM = Multi Level Marketing = finding scapegoats who pays you for nothing :D

It works by making you buy a $500-$999 starter kit, followed by trying to con your friends and loved ones into the same poor business deal you just made. If you look at the math, it's definitely NOT in your favor. Definitely the worst form of affiliate marketing there is. IM is a million times more lucrative. Even working at McDonalds is better.

I know of one that only has you pay a $40 membership fee, and also pays 200% commission. So for everyone you get to join you, they pay you $80-$90 and pay out every Friday. It's legit.

Fuck MLM, mate. Join MLM = you go full retard.

Never go full retard.

OK, refer me and I'll get scammed just like you.

Almost everyone who joins these MLM networks will not even make their money back
