Not sure that this is the right forum for this question, but how does
embed commercials/ads into their video's?

I am not a techie by any stretch, so I am not sure if this is an easy thing or a difficult one.

I have a great idea, and would like to have commercials embedded into my videos, and a way to control impressions (commercials).

Does anyone know of a resource where I can research this?

Thanks a million!!!!!

"channel 4 on demand" does the same. ( UK IP needed on youtube to find them).
Solving this problem for all video venues is a very hard problem, and the biggest gun I know of is the freewheel dot tv integration platform. They can serve up commercials for almost all the big video sites except Youtube. They had a beta with Youtube last year, but I think Google/Youtube couldn't deal with their targeting methods, similar to what happened with Doubleclick when Google swallowed them. Youtube has its own mechanism for commercial insertion, but it is really primitive at this point. I think this creates an opportunity, and there is nothing to specifically prohibit you from being on both sides of the game, producing the video content and the commercials. Getting them to target correctly is the challenge we have faced and it is not clear the problem will ever be completely solved.

As far as I know, Hulu is only using FreeWheel to serve up its commercials, but others may know more.
Freewheel, interesting, I will look into it. Thank you very much sir.
when i watch a commercial on youtube how much does google pay that person like .10-.20 cents?

We get it, advertisements are annoying!

Sure, ad-blocking software does a great job at blocking ads, but it also blocks useful features and essential functions on BlackHatWorld and other forums. These functions are unrelated to ads, such as internal links and images. For the best site experience please disable your AdBlocker.
