How Does Hosting Multiple WordPress Sites on a Single Server Affect SEO?

Hello, I am currently working on SEO for about 20 WordPress sites, each hosted on different servers.
However, managing all these separate servers has become quite challenging, so I am considering consolidating them onto a single server.

The sites include both those targeting the same niche and others targeting different niches.
If I manage all these sites on one server, what impact would this have on SEO?

You can host as many money sites as your server can handle without any technical problems,
As long as you're not referring to PBN or heavy spam (churn & burn) websites, you're good to go,
Shared hosting tends to have a few dozen up to hundreds of websites under the same IP and they will rank as long as their SEO is in point,
A ton of websites share the same Cloudflare IP and they do rank without problems as well, and they work and rank without problems
 
Use cloudflare and google won't be the wiser.

Unless you're actually building pbns and link farms, doesnt matter too much.

It's a shared server, but each VPS is given a different Ip, so isn't it okay to look at it with a different IP?
Isn't that why you don't recognize it as the same server?

It's completely normal and fine to use the same IP for multiple websites,
Just keep them spam-free, and you're good to go,

Technically, for Google bots & other tools, yes,
But again, you don't need a unique IP per website, neither to waste the money for them

Wouldn't there be a problem if multiple sites in the same niche market were used as one server? Backlinks all work the same way.
 
Hosting multiple sites on one server can risk SEO if they're in the same niche, as shared IPs could signal a PBN to search engines; diversify IPs for safety.

Hello, Consolidating multiple sites on one server could risk SEO if they share the same IP and footprints link them. Search engines may view them as part of a network, potentially reducing trust. Use unique IPs, separate hosting accounts, or CDNs to mitigate risks and ensure proper management for niche diversity.
 
Host as many as you want on decent server or VPS and use cloudflare it wont have any issue on SEO
 
Host on single server and make different Cloudflare accounts for each site.

- Shared IP Address: Risk of association with spammy sites.
- Server Performance: Overloaded servers can slow down sites.
- Downtime: Frequent outages can harm rankings.
- Backlink Profile and Interlinking: Overlinking can look manipulative.
- Duplicate Content: Similar content across sites can cause penalties.
- Security: Compromised sites can affect others.
- Crawl Budget: Inefficient crawling can affect indexing.
 
Consolidating sites on one server risks SEO issues like IP overlap, making backlinks appear artificial. For different niches, it may harm credibility. Use separate IPs or Cloudflare for better management.
 
I don’t think it will have much impact.
 
There used to be this belief that having sites that interlink to each other would be negated if they were hosted on the same IP (as google would assume the sites are owned by the same person).

It seems highly improbable now because of Cloudflare and CDNs.
 
Hosting all 20 websites on the same server and sharing the same IP, whether masked behind Cloudflare, is a significant downgrade. A better setup would be hosting all sites on the same server but pointing to unique IPs. That way, you save costs on multiple hosting, and your sites appear independent. You don't even have to run a PBN to take my one cent. 1 hosting, multiple IPs simply works.
