I found a seller on eBay who is selling Battlefield 3 download keys.

As you can see he sells almost all of them and has about 300 views within a few days.

His feedback is only 53, no top rated seller etc. So he cannot use featured item etc. It is just a normal auction

So what I am asking myself is: I am selling the same as he, however, my listing is MUCH better with more information, contact details, pictures etc.

But I have less views than this seller and more important, I have NO sales, my listing is ending tomorrow.

So how does he do that?
 
Advertise on BHW
previous repeat buyers, craigslist (or similar), mail list, forum posting, even scrapebox and off page linking - could be hundreds of ways to drive traffic to his ebay listings - you could do the same ;)
 
No links are showing up on YSE for his listings or his username. However, if he has just one link on the front page of a high traffic, relevant blog, that might be all it would take and it might not be enough to show up in YSE.
 
Unfortunately I do not have Scrapebox or Xrumer .....

Also it is not traffic only .... I have now about 200 views, but no sales .... he sold 8 of 10 in this listing and 9 of 10 in his last one .....

So it is not only traffic... my listing is wayyyy better and more informative and yet no sales ...

Maybe just copy his listing?
 
What is his title compared to yours? Perhaps theres a search term you're missing?

I could possibly give more insight if you showed both auctions it could be a million things that helps his convert better.

His title is:

"Battlefield 3 Limited Edition EA Origin Download Key"

My title is:

"Battlefield 3 (PC) EA Origin Download Activation Key"

So in fact it is almost the same. Difference is, he is selling Limited Edition, I am selling normal edition.

Ya, That doesn't really help.

I can't see the title etc.

However at first glance his does seem cleaner/more to the point so perhaps try to replicate his ad or drop by like 1-2 euro in price.

I also noticed he puts "(advanced)" like that in the title and if you don't people who don't know may think his a better kind of key or something so buy it instead.

Yes it is more to the point, however, it says almost nothing about the game itself whereas my description (taken from Amazon) gives infos about the game .....

Advanced?! Oh you mean VORBESTELLUNG? No, that just means PRE-ORDER ....

Only difference between our titles is that he is selling Limited Edition and I am selling Standard Edition. But I do not think anybody is searching for "Limited Edition", everyone is looking for "Battlefield 3" ....

Personally, I would prefer to buy from somebody with my listing that shows all the info together with contact (phone number) rather than from somebody with just 3-4 lines not mentioning anything about the game itself, not showing a screenshot of the game etc.

Maybe my translating is off :o

I think that could have a lot to do with it, limited edition over standard edition, especially if they are priced similarly.

If someone has little knowledge and they search just for the key both of yours will pop up, they will see one is standard and one is limited edition so that is probably a big selling point.

Limited Edition is almost same as Standard Edition, just an extra map pack included. Price is about $14 higher. So I wanted to sell Standard Version as it is cheaper... if I sell Limited Edition then my price will be higher than his ......

My listing now has ended with 200 views and no buyer....I would like to relist .... I have an English version now on ebay.com which got about 40 views first day ......

But you are missing the point. By the time anyone is searching on eBay, they already know about the game, no? I find games are one of those things where you are interested and already know, or totally uninterested. Your long description is preaching to the converted, and almost suggesting that *you* are not in the know.

For targetted traffic, use Twitter+Facebook.
 
Possibly targeted FB ads, Adwords or any other laser targeted AD.

I wanted to try Facebook ads, however, I can't find an ad coupon anywhere .....

Also I would really be interested how he promotes his listing, because getting almost 600 views for a new seller with almost no feedback I have never seen before .....

If you look on google you won't find any links to his auction ....

Looks strange to me, same buyer (also with almost no feedback) buys 3 keys at once .... what is the reason? You do not need 3 keys because you can download unlimited times with ONE key .....

Further, this price he is selling at (?22) does not seem realistic, because I am buying from a wholesaler and cannot sell at this price INCLUDING ebay and paypal fees AND making any profit ......
 
My price is €33,99. If you buy directly from EA you pay €59.99 so I think my price is alright.

His price is not for real, you never can get them so cheap that you can make any profit after fees if selling at €22. Only possibility would be he is buying hundreds of these keys ..... but I do not think so ....
 
he bought from **** website i found key for battlefield 2 for only $5, but i cant find bf3.. but yes i could confirm he have use this supplier..

I can see he is selling Crysis 2 eadm key for $23. i found on **** website $17

he make easy $5 he already sold 3, but i dont know the rules on germany ebay. because on ebay.com you will banned for selling digital item/keys/code

if you want to know the sites pls pm me.
(i cant give this supplier for free, because it is really make money)
