howtoloseweightfastb.com is a new site that is only 3 month old and is #1 for lose weight fast and #4 for lose weight .

I have analyzed his links via yahoo explorer and mostly are from histat.com , a web stat site.

It just doesn't make sense.What is his method ?

I have a how to site and I feel that these are pretty powerful. Even if you build Exact match backlinks the other versions of the words get some love too.

Howtoloseweightfast can rank for how to lose, how to lose weight, how to lose weight fast, lose weight, lose weight fast, weight fast etc...Also you can really vary your anchor text and avoids the dreaded over optimization yet still drives targeted traffic to your site. I have a how to domain that I created for fun but it ranks for a slew of terms. I just have to focus on more unique content and a way to monetize it. Right now it is simply a site that I throw stuff at for testing purposes.

Edit not to mention the domain is 11 years old and a PR of 5.
 
What confuses me is hiis backlinks ... most are low level backlinks
 
There is only two theories about this:

1:He is larry page
or
2:He have tons of hmpg and blog network links.

Is the secret is because he bombarded hypestat.com thus created a lot of links from them?

He generates between 19500-45,000 backlinks/mth

His paid link budget is at a minimum 10,000USD/mth, he is buying an absolutely insane amount of homepage and high PR blogposts

Unless he owns literally 5000-10,000 high PR domains himself, which wouldn't really save him much money in the short term :p
Though it's clear most of them are NOT his own sites, as they are linking out to extremely variable niches.

(not that there's much to figure out, but THAT guy is making money... Pretty sure the site in your OP is making pennies for the effort and expense vs risk)

This guy is everywhere. I see him do this, but I believe google figures it out and drops his ranks tremendously. Its more of a cash cow for a month kind of deal. He just keeps on doing it and they fall off. Won't be passive income. A lot of work for little in return IMO. Would rather have passive income.

what tool or site do you guys use to see all the backlinks? majesticseo only shows me 50 backlinks to the OP site.
 
Well how he did it remains a mystery! But just imagine how much he's making of it!
 
I have a similar situation that I've posted about. I have a site with about 15,000 links, a lot of high quality ones, 10 years old, about 150 pages of unique content, is like a 60 on opensiteexplorer.org and is ranking about #6 for my main keyword that is competitive and has 150k+ exacts per month. Other sites in the top 10 are wiki, a couple .gov, a .edu, and a couple competitors.
And I have another site I put up about a year ago, the domain is about 3 years old. The site was targeting another keyword, but then I targeted the main keyword a bit, and it is ranked #5, right ahead of my big site. It has a rating of like 38 on OSE, which also says I have 4 links with the anchor text of the main keyword to my site.
Makes no sense at all.
