Can you put anchor texts when using bookmarking software?

How does it increase your rankings, does it only get your pages indexed?

The title of the bookmark normally is the anchor text and it does help towards ranking when mixed up with other keywords

As wannabie said, the title is the anchor text.

And it helps in ranking cause it's counted as a backlink, and it shows Google that people are interested in your webpage and actually bookmarking it..

Some bookmarking sites really help in backlink building. I have few blogs which earn traffic and google ranking only because of social bookmarkings. More power to them
