How does BMD5 exactly works?

Hey there, I know you are probably going to tell me to search the forums, but I've done it and I haven't found any specific answer about it. I have also checked the official site of BMD.

Therefore, I am here, hoping someone can clear a lot of confused minds (I'm sure I'm not the only one!), and explain to us how does BMD exactly works and how it can help you get targeted traffic?

It is a bookmarking tool (and a very confusing one to use at that!)

Basically, you use BMD (and yes I am a registered user) to post links on social bookmarking sites that point to the page you are trying to promote.

The theory is that by having lots of backlinks (and they are usually PR0 sites) Google will notice you sooner (get crawled) and index you higher and faster.

As usual though, with any of these tools, people go nuts spam the heck out of these sites and then wonder why Google slaps them.

My advice? Use BMD to grow (over time) the number of backlinks out there pointing to the FEEDER pages around your actual money page.

BMD5 has a better interface, but it is still confusing as heck to use and managing the accounts for the various sites is still terrible.

P.S. BMD also has a pinging feature that allows you to ping the target pages as well. So, you can use it to create bookmark backlinks and quickly ping your pages.

Yes it can use proxies, it can create several accounts per site but it doesent support decaptcher (captcha breaking). Other softs like bookmarkwiz do.

BMD is designed to semi-automate your link building but also to make it look natural. By natural they mean having different usernames posting your link in different bookmarking sites with different tags and keywords. Basically just like if it was being spread organically and normally through social networks. Its not really intended to be the big XRumer type spam blast all at once.

You load up a list of URLs for scuttle, scuttleplus, pligg, and phpdug. BMD will autodetect what type of site it is for captcha purposes. It also autodetects the PR of each site. For me this is great because a site that wont work in BMD but has a high PR I can make a macro with the IMacros program. All fields in the database are now sortable.

Next you create accounts and you can give it several choices for a username that it will randomly pick. The advantage here is you dont have the same username on hundreds of sites and it lowers your spamming visiblity. It will do 5 at a time and opens IE windows within BMD. If it comes across a captcha it will prompt you to enter it. I've found I like this IE window thing because I can see whats going on. If there is a problem with a site you see it and then dont blame BMD for failing. You can have multiple accounts per site and disable/re-enable accounts for use.

You load up your GMail account settings and BMD will pull the activation emails and activate the accounts.

You load up a list of RSS feeds so that when you submit your real link it will pull in some news articles. This is to make it look more natural and to prevent banning on sites. When it submits it will randomly pick one of your multiple accounts for each site further covering your tracks. You can set the posting to be a % of your sites. I find this useful because you can stagger your links. Instead of getting 100% of your 1,000 links in one day you can do batches of 200 (or whatever). This will make it look more natural.

There is a scheduler so you can do your posting of links unattended. BMD will time out on a site if it fails over 60 seconds so it shouldnt get locked up.

You load up a list of ping sites and it will ping your bookmarks.

Having said all that there is one big thing to keep in mind.
BMD works off of the basic templates of the open source social bookmarking sites.
When (not if but when) site admins of the good PR sites change the template around, BMD will have problems. You will never have a 100% accuracy nor probably a "good" accuracy rate. If that is what you want you will probably want Bookmarking Wiz.
