How does anonymous learn their skills?

I'm curious to know how the people of anonymous come across their skills
I've heard some people say they're just a bunch of bored kids, but, damn, i'm 18 years old and i don't have a clue how to do anything like what they've done.
So, how do they learn it?
Actual classes?
Being taught online?
self taught?
just have a knack?

If I told you, it would ruin the fun.
 
For learning almost every skill, PRACTICE is most important thing. Read something new, then PRACTICE until you learn it, after that continue to something more complex....
 
Basically, 98% of the group is made up of followers. These people run the tools and get caught (I won't list them here, but they do DDOS Attack using the "cannon" ;)).

When someone is caught, it's usually one of the silly people who don't know what they are doing and are trying to fit in.

Those other 2% actually know what they are doing. Same thing with SEO - 98% scrubs. ;-)

well for me, i dont even know where to LEARN those skills, so i have nothing to practice

You haven't told what you want to learn? Coding, SEO?
There are tutorials online for EVERYTHING, especially stuff related to computers.

Edit: anonymous group has a good cause, but their organization and everything seems like big BS...I'd suggest you to learn seo and coding and apply that to make money, not to hack other people sites

i'm pretty much open to learning just about anything useful regarding computers.
Hacking, security, bypassing stuff, modifying websites, linux, backtrack, making money online, paypal, youtube view increaser, ebay stuff, craigslist poster/flagging, w/e

I just kind of look up to anonymous, they're like the guys that i sort of wish i could be, standing up to authority.

But i suppose, i'm just kind of looking for a direction, i dont know where to look, youtube is a bit strict on their vids, and i dont know if what i'm currently looking at is relevent to what i want to learn more about.
 
why bother where they learned the skill, it won't make you that smart

because i'm curious as to how they do it, perhaps i can pick up on a thing here or there, and be better because of it.
 
They don't have any. UDP flooding went out of date alongside the ping of death.
 
99% of them just run a ddos program and are just wna be's

the rest are legit though
 
Most of it is self taught over time via reading through online resources, a lot of it is learning by talking with friends, some of it is through college courses on Computer Science, IT Security, etc. I know some people that even sell one-on-one time in certain forums that I won't mention here.
 
my silly friend some of the methods are not for the kind of heart, for instance some hacking methods have been used to generate millions and get they got cought, IE reasearch Operation Get Rich or Die Tryin by some kids, one died by suicide because he did not want to go to jail, but I am not sure what are you interested in.
 
You might start with reading up on the criminal penalties you will face when you get caught. Then watch some of those "locked up" documentaries.

For starting I recommend you to read the book "Network Warrior" By Gary Donahue. If you cannot find it online (pdf) you don`t have what it takes to be a hacker!
 
Look at lulszec. One of their member was busted and is not in jail because he is an autistic person! He is DAMN genius!
