Let's say I want an autoblog about the keyword "jacuzzi" ... I can give in keywords about jacuzzi and the blog will be filled with content automaticly? Does it work in different languages?

well your sort of right not necessarily writing articles though you can get plugins such as caffienated content or wp-o-matic to pull the content for you wheher it be from rss feeds or scraping.

an autoblog is exactly that: automated. Everything you could possibly do to a blog is automated.

Caffeinated Content, WP-o-Matic, and Autoblogged are some popular examples of content generating plugins. They scrape RSS feeds as well as article site and blogs and post someone else's content, alleviating you of the task of manually posting to your blog.

Next comes plugins like WP Write Again!. It rewrites other content into an original and quasi-readable post. Called content spinner plugins. Just another content generator doing things differently.

There are also monetization plugins for things like Affiliate links and Adsense. These plugins insert an aff. link or an adsense block into every post, or wherever you specify. SEO Automatic links is a plugin that will replace a keyword in the content with a link to a specified site (hint: you aff. link ;)).

Plugins like AutoSocialPoster will automatically promote your blog to specified bookmark accounts. You just add your BM accts and it takes care of the rest. Also, update your ping list because WP automatially pings itself anyways.

There are also plugins like Platinum SEO and SEO-All-In-One that automatically takes care of onpage SEO, thereby making your autoblog a little more G00gle-friendly. There are also plugins like DD Sitemap Generator and Google Sitemap Generator that will generate a sitemap and keep it updated for you, and it helps with SEO.

Combining all of these things together, you've got yourself a WP Blog that
posts its own content, promotes itself, monetizes itself, and optimizes itself for SEO. A truely "set it and forget it" blog. The whole premise is to keep an updated blog so it ranks well in google, etc. and drive traffic to adsense or CPA offers, usually the first being the most common reason.

The few downsides to this approach is the fact that this system is already 4 years old, which is long in internet years. Google is already onto this and has planned accordingly, so it's kind of an uphill battle to start with, serpswise. Next, Adsense can get finnicky when you accrue more than $100. They tend to watch you more and for some, have got banned from adsense. Personally, I don't think adsense would do that though. They must have violated the tos pretty badly. Also, don't get the idea that autoblogs will make you the next millionaire. The most I've seen is like $1200 - $4000/month. That's a pretty nice income, but they've got hundreds of these things running around.

That's pretty much an autoblog in a nutshell.

I've always wondered about these auto-blogs. Always heard of them, but never tried since I'm a little skeptical.

Would these auto blogs have content that's close to being understandable? Do people actually read these blogs and click on the adsense ads? Do these blogs rank for keywords without much work at all?

I'm by no means an expert on this, still trying to monetize a few myself. But, yes the content can be readable, at least when the content is pulled from rss feeds and the like. The only problem would be a dupe content penalty, if such a thing exists. With the rewrite plugins, like Write Again! and Uniquifier, it is really a hit or miss. I've heard many people say that the content from these plugins are acceptable, while other say it is utter gibberish. Personally, I stick with the latest cracked version of "Autoblogged". It pulls from rss feeds, so it is legible to begin with, but it can also pull from google blog searches as well as post Flickr photos.
