How does a HOSTING affect my SEO?

Hello everyone.

I have a hosting which is located in Spain but I want to make a website in English and I want it to be worldwide for English-speaking people.

It means I want to target everybody who speaks English, not only people from Spain.

How does a hosting in a concrete country (in my case, Spain) affect my SEO?

Ideally you should host in the country you are targeting but it is fine to host elsewhere as long as you have a fast reliable host.
Bad/slow hosts will affect your site speed which can have a negative effect on SEO.

Your host should always be located in the country you wish to rank in. The pages will load faster which increases SERP and the Ip is suppose to make a difference too.

It does not effect, so you should be fine to get any kind of hosting. At least you should worry about the amount of visitors which are visiting your website.

It contributes zero effect on seo. You can use CDN to avoid any page load issue as it gets the data from nearest datacenter.

You need to cache your static content period. Check for W3 errors. No JavaScript Errors. Make sure you are gziped. http2 also makes huge difference for SEO. Forget about heavy crap like wordpress or similar. Not only I can hack any wordpress in minutes through contact us forum, it's heavy crap, period. You will not be able to outgun static files sites. If you are in wordpress, you can generate your site in wordpress and use WinHTTtrack to generate static files. After you generate HTML, drop it on S3 file hosting. You can still get comments posted, just have form post to your "staging" site. No server, no problems....

Silo your site. If your site does not have proper silo structure - forget about SEO. Here is the silo example:

The best way is to compare you on page against top 10 competitors. Do not use sites like wikki to compare. Use sites that are your direct competitors...

As far as the rest. Sign up for cloud fare or sucuri. They serve cached content from closest location. Constantly add new content. Run forum on one of the sub directories - get some people to post in it. Get social signals all the time to home page and all inner pages.

People who thinks they can make money on cheap and slow hosting or even shared - LOL... GOOD LUCK!!! IN 1999 MAYBE, IT'S 2016 HELLO....

If you do that, you will increase your chances in terms of SEO. Google expects you to be professional in what you do. Ordinary crap will not make you a lot of money... Happy times are over, welcome to real world...

Hosting is not the only part of SEO....

Hosting does not effect SEO anymore.Only slow or bad speed of hosting will give you negative result.
You should increase the number of visitors to your websites to gain the best result.

With so many hosting options out there and it getting cheaper and cheaper, the only affect hosting would have on SEO is site speed. But even that is marginal and can easily be worked on.
