How do YouTube views on video work?

Simple question:

If I simply refresh the page a few times, is that going to increase the view count?

Yeah, the video doesn't have to play through everytime it is loaded counts as a view, but as blackhit said, you can only get 200 views per ip.
 
By having a dynamic IP you could make much more views on that, 200 x X, but that's a big time waster when you have tools that make that for you. Try Tub3 Incre@ser, available at the 3rd link in my signature.
 
Youtube views are counted through a JavaScript Snippet... the video only loads if you have JS enabled.

They also flag any browser that sends any PROXY_Connection headers, which will register a "This video is no longer available" error.

actually to boost views all you need to do is access the flv file as many times as you need using proxies.
 
200 veiws per ip/day.i think so.
so you can increase your video views by 200 from ur ip.
