How Do You Write Your Informational Posts?

So I recently started getting into the blogging scene. Working with Amazon Associates and its both buyer guides and information articles. I'm really curious about writing info articles though. I see all kinds of guides on here about buying guides but very little about info posts.

Everyone says find keywords, write with said keywords and then repeat the process. But I also hear about people writing long winded info posts, without almost KW research other than maybe for the title. All their focus is on writing a ton of articles, and ranking for a ton of unknown long tail keywords over time.

So what do you guys usually prefer? Informative articles specifically written for targeting keyword, or tons of articles about topics in the hopes that you'll rank for a bunch of long tail keywords naturally?

I would stay focused on targeted keywords.
Make sure you don't aim too high. Use a Keyword Explorer software to check the keyword difficulty and search volume.

I've actually been split testing them botn lately. Eventually I have a goal to turn it into a small authority site, so eventually targeting keywords will become close to null. Even still, thanks for the info, I'll see if I can get a little bit more specific in some of the articles keywords!
 
Keyword search is the first thing you need to keep in mind before writing for blogs. Then comes other SEO techniques like content optimization, use of relevant images and alt texts, internal linking etc.
 
When writing posts, I don't tend to worry too much about keywords. They tend to be included naturally anyway (as you're writing about that keyword in itself). I go for a friendly approach and try to aim the reading level at that of a 14 year-old.

The main thing, is your include the keyord in your title - that's the key element IMHO.

That's where I've been mainly focusing my KW research. Using them for titles, and then finding a couple small keywords as talking points throughout the article. The talking point keywords are usually only a couple hundred searches but crazy low KD. So far it's been pretty good, hoping to eventually pump out some serious content when I get a bit more time on my hands!

Or you could just hire someone to do it for you that has the time on their hands. ;-)

Don't have the money to put into articles yet. Eventually I'll start outsourcing I think, but that's a ways down the road. I put the time I can into it and I'll slowly grow the site over time.
 
Use the targetting keyword in headlines with short and sweet to the point and make it specific. Give some valuable link.
 
keyword research is an important one before writing any content or making blogs want to go with free tools, by using ubersuggest check the Search difficulty, based on that target your keywords.,
 
targeting keyword .When choosing keywords, you still need to choose keywords with accurate demand and high conversion rate, so that you can get effective traffic.
 
yes.. kw research is tha first thing you do first which is going to be add in tha title section for any content.
