How do you track a particular rare item?

Greetings.

Have a few relatively rare items that I want to buy on Ebay. I know that they occasionally show up there and being sold really fast (1 hour or less). I dont have time to track them day and night, so I was thinking that theres got to be some smart way to do this. Right?

Please point me in right direction

Add the search to your ebay alerts?

ebay alerts would probably be your best bet but if they sell out that fast it would be hard no matter what
