I'm looking for a media buyer to expand my team.

Was wondering what's the best way to test him/her. After all in no time they'll manage 6 figures monthly of acquisition.

Would love some advise.

Thanks

You do not assign a new media buyer 6-figure worth of ads on day 1.

All you care is returns, so start them with $1-5k a month budget and observe their ROI performance.

Serious question... What does a media buyer do on a day to day basis?

For me, I put up my own money to run the ads to test my ability.

giving them a small budget test campaign, reviewing their previous case studies and asking scenario-based questions. Evaluate their ability to analyze data, scale campaigns, and think strategically, while also ensuring they’re a cultural fit for your team.

Give them a small budget to run a campaign with clear KPIs, and assess their optimization skills, data analysis, and ability to scale.

Give them a mini campaign with a tight budget and see if they can turn it into a winning strategy if they crush it, you’ve got your media buying star

Run a mini campaign together, let them take the reins, and see how they handle the strategy and budget

Give them a $10 budget and ask them to turn it into $100. If they succeed, hand them the keys to your six-figure empire… if not, just blame the algorithm

Give them a real-world challenge, like optimizing an underperforming campaign, and see how they analyze data and improve results.

Start with a small test budget, let them run the show, and see how they handle optimization and scaling quick way to spot real skills!

Try giving them a small campaign to run and see how they optimize and scale how they handle the budget and drive results will tell you if they're ready for the big leagues!

Run a small test campaign to see how they handle strategy and scaling before you go big.

Try a small budget, check their past work, and see how they solve problems!
