How do you target rich people?

Hi guys

I've got a possible client, an interior designer, who offers a very expensive product (7.000 US$ onwards), how do you find rich people on the internet or elsewhere to target and entice to this client's services?

I am planning to use a multiplatforms strategy that includes SEO, adwords, FB, YT and instagram, but still in the past I've only done this for average income people, now I need a way to filter out the not rich, so I am left with people who could conceivably buy this persons products.

My questions:

1/ what should be my budget for PPC campaigns and how much should I charge him?
2/ which PPC campaings should I embark on? I was thinking about using YT ads, seems like a good fit for an interior designer, dunno what you guys think.
3/ where can I find rich people, how should I segment my ads? Ive had very wasteful experiences with FB ads.
4/ which platforms should I target? FB? instagram? SEO? YT? all of the above? anything else?

If it were in my country

The below will get the traffic of the rich

The most popular news sites

That is old enough ,especially newspaper houses which are close to 60 years and who also have a web platform serving google ads

I would create display ads targeting this sites

Shout out from social handles of known and and old musicians or entertainers

Tweaked ads serving display ads on investment sites as will as investors blogs

Back that up with ads on popular ecommerce platforms with enough exposures

After 2-4 weeks

Check click through rate and forms to focus on a targeted audience

Twitters ads focusing on well know brands for the aged like banks

Finance and housing should also do

Look at profile of existing and past clients, find the common denominators.

Also, think about what type of people might be suitable - difficult to say without knowing the products, but maybe business owners, company directors etc.

Also keep in mind it’s not like rich people just buy stuff because it’s expensive, you should be looking a little more specifically for the types of people that need or want this product.

Does the product deliver 7k worth of value to a customer? If it doesn't and it's subjective then you have to sell on it's intangible merits like exclusivity, or gain the envy of your peers etc.

Or find someone who went to a boarding school, doesn't matter how long ago they were there.

How much you should charge him depends on your client's margins. Ask him about his costs on a $7,000 product. Does he provide the service himself without the need of employees or does he offload work to his employees? If he's doing the work himself he will have better margins and can pay you more but can take on fewer clients. If he offloads work then there's going to be less money but more room for scale for you and him.

In case he doesn't want to tell you what his expenses are, tell him that you need to know so you are able to calculate how much you can spend on advertising and still be profitable delivering leads to him.

Something worth considering: Partner up with a real estate agent who sells properties to rich people. That's what your client should be doing lol. I'm thinking if you could just get one real estate agent to deal with you, you could get a few sales a month. The average person isn't going to pay $7,000 for an interior designer as they are short on cash. The only issue with this model is that three people want to make money. The real estate agent, you, and your client. This requires you to make phone calls until you found a partner.

That's how I go about designing a fair fee for my client and myself.
