I have been around this forum for a while and I don't usually post, but this has been an annoying issue that always comes up. I constantly go from project to project, and when I come back to a project I haven't worked on for a week it takes me a while to figure out what I did last. I have been trying to be more organized with everything lately so I can save time as everyone knows time is money:eek:.

I got in the habit of making flowcharts so I can track and remember all the tiers and backlinks I make. Some of my flowcharts are huge, and beautiful haha. I use draw.io to make them as it is free and saves to my dropbox. I used to use another web based flowchart but it wasn't free after some time of use.

I also began making detailed bookmark folders to keep track of posted d0f0ll0w and nofollow backlinks. Once a post is approved I move it to the approved folder under the specific site it back links.

I believe being organized is very important. For example, if you do not keep track of the link juice flow and your site gets penalized, it is very hard to find the source.

What do you use to keep yourself organized?

I am a big user of excel sheets to keep all my projects in order. I'm a very organised person and work in very structured and methodical ways. Excel docs are epic in my eyes. I'll knock one up for anything haha

KISS: Keep it Simple Silly. I fell in love with this the day i heard it. You most probably already know this but to me it means structuring my work in a way that my tech 'unsavvy' dad can get it too.

Anything with lots of data (like site login info) I keep in a spreadsheet.
I use folders for organising projects, and notepads to keep current progress notes for each project, as well as task history so I can come back to any project at any time and know what I last did and what I need to do next.

then I use dropbox to hold everything so it's accesible anywhere.

Evernote, Google Docs and Wunderlist (to set deadlines for each task). I also use Strict Workflow extension, it keeps me from accessing facebook, porn sites etc.

I used to write things down and pin it to my board.. until I realized copy and paste is my best friend haha

I use notepad++ to keep all the data organized. I keep a copy on the hard disk and one on my USB drive. I don't like keeping my data on the cloud.

Google sheets would do wonders in keeping everything organized. It has been my partner in making things go as planned. Today, i have my own charts and work tracker that I have developed and been improved from time to time.

Dude, take a break, you already made 50 posts today.

i try to avoid google docs
evernote, outlook 13 and excel for me
try to make this all work with folders on laptop and external drive
for software projects, i need to make them work both locally and with dropbox for example to sync data among multiple vps-s

Todoist notes to keep working and excel for every single bit of data I need to remember :D

I thought i'll bump this one up because i think it's an important one.
I'm still struggling to find a method to keep all the things related to a project in one place, but for no i'm using excel and a pen and paper. Excel is to keep all the different stats, profiles, taks etc. and a pen and paper for quick notes, and day-planning.
