Well, i just want to hear your experiences... lately im a little unmotivated, i feel like nothing is going right...

It is very strange for me to be so unmotivated, i have always been a very active and happy person.. i try to help and support everyone around me, but lately im feeling like the world is coming down on me.

I would like to know what yall do when you have a bad streak, what you focus on and how you stay positive.
I would really appreciate it.

Motive-action.

tbh i unplug. i go out in nature. i recharge. i bring my notebook with me in case i feel inspired and need to jot thoughts down. today i had a few while out, but i was more preoccupied with the fact i was surrounded by geese and ducks. dozens of them were feeding mere feet from me. one came quite close and we locked eyes. what does a goose think in such a situation? surely they are conscious beings. i noticed while some ate, some kept watch. sometimes it helps to slow down and appreciate mundane things in life. the breeze on your skin. the quacks of the critters. the songs birds sing. the beautiful sunset heralding the end of today. what makes one goose peck at the grass while standing, while another sits with its hind legs outstretched and does the same? when i am not motivated, or am dealing with things, i seek nature and solace. it's a bit meditative. it helps me regain focus. it helps me arrive home fresh. it helps keep me grounded. it helps me avoid burnout.

as for yourself, perhaps ask yourself what factors in your life can be causing this feeling. analyze them. what is not going right? why do you feel unmotivated? are you focusing on the right things? are you getting distracted? are you putting too much pressure on yourself? etc.

anyways, here's that goose i briefly connected with. i hope you regain your motivation and find success in whatever it is you're seeking and striving for. i can relate to feeling like the sky is falling upon you. take care. apologies for the bit of a rant.

You can be motivated by Happy People, what they are doing, and how they are passing their relax life, they are working with being part of this world

Swimming daily as helped me to stay more positive and motivated. Physical activity helps me to stay motivated and plan the day ahead even if everything sometimes feels like its going the wrong way.

I think 8 Hours of Sleep and 16/8 Fasting + 1.5 Hours a day exercise will open you up

might be a bit tacky, but find someone you love and love you back. and work towards building a better life together. thats my motivation at the moment

If you find the key to success let me know) You need to be able to rest, you need to be able to work. The most important thing is to force yourself to do something that can potentially get you out of the black. Only in time you will be able to find what you need) I sometimes help with a cold shower and a little sport to distract myself and come to my senses).

I just can't fcking do C++ and OpenGL cause I just started with C++.

First lines of code I wrote in C++ about 5 months ago. Quickly I understood pitfalls of my approach.

So I feel pretty unmotivated with regards to this lower level programming journey.

Well, so first I will do something simpler, just simple C++ programs, and create + understand video using something simpler than OpenGL.

Then I'll step into OpenGL and transfer data from there using writeF function and passing it to FFmpeg stream.

That's how I stay motivated. I take smaller steps, learn and learning is fascinating, it lets you discover.

Then I put a little movie on, whichever I prefer at the time, I watch that, and do the same thing next day.

And of course I'm drinking 5 coffees a day. I can drink one coffee, but tolerance / resistance is a bitch. Once I stop drinking coffee, I have to wait 3 days until my body gets used to living without coffee. I can't do 3 days of no-coffee. I think the longest break with no coffee I had in last 6 months was about 15 hours.

Thread update:
Things are still not going perfect but i am on a project that keeps me busy, i would say that it is my motivation for the last month.
I just learned, not only this month, but since i started, that things take time... sometimes it seems like the end or even that you will never get there, but you have to stand and fight until the end.
Bcse everything ends up arriving and getting better!

Thanks to everyone who answered, i hope yall doing great!

This week I replaced JS with Python / C (C++ gives you what you probably don't need). Then I remove coffee, chit chat and shopping / money from my life. I'll not spend a buck as a compensation of some pain caused by other things that I did but weren't necessary. I just used money as a compensation for the past month and so I realized what cycle I'm in and why I say so many words. Not that it didn't produce any value, it was just too much, as it usually is with uncontrolled consumption.

(I ate mcdonald's whole week round)

Do it again, don't get discouraged if it doesn't work the second time
You yourself have to make an effort

Life is ups and downs, sometimes enjoyable. Other times emotionally depressed, but in all if you have sound mind, health and good life. Be happy

I understand how you feel. I am also an optimistic and cheerful person, but sometimes I do feel loneliness, loss, and the pressure of life. Maybe it’s because people like us give too much emotion to others but neglect ourselves. Generally, when I encounter the situation you mentioned, I will find a place where no one is around (my own room, a park with few people) to spend time with myself.
