How do you run a Mac OS in Windows XP ? ? ? ?

So i'm currently downloading Mac OS X Lion

And I got VMWare Workstation installed.

I'm assuming that I can somehow put these two together, and everything will magically work?

Someone mentioned that my Intel Pentium e5200 chip, does not support "virtualization," and hence, I can't make it work...

I have no idea what that means... or, if that's true.

I just need to run a stupid little text program - just to test it out.

Little help?

In my opinion the only good way of running Mac OS is by actually running it on a mac. You can try it but it will most likely not work or be very sluggish.

there are mackhacks forums out there- Im in the other boat of having a mac and running windows. To be honest, if you plan on running video editing platforms on your machack you will be disappointed. Just out of curiosity what do plan on running?

Hackintosh is what you might want to look for on the big G. Good luck, while definitely feasible it's all but trivial.
 
I did a lot of work professionally with virtualization and I never heard of a decent running work around for OSX other than running it on a Mac.
 
I would be interested to know about this also. I just want to run the iPhone software developers kit. Maybe there's an easier way to do that?
 
Ya, that's kind of the opinion i'm coming to...

It's been a rough week.

It appears the best way is to have the Mac sitting right there on your desk...

The truly simplest and cheapest way I found was to use MacInCloud

That's a cool idea.

The problem with that is, it's mostly just good for testing a compiled and finished project.

I don't think I could compile on there...
 
For what I've heard, virtualizing Mac OS on a PC doesn't work at all. There've been many attempts to build what some people call a "hackinstosh", but results are reported to be quite deceptive (for now).
 
It's possible to run Mac OS on Windows XP, but it's necessary to have at least 4gb of ram, 8gb is recommended.
To do that you need VMware.
You can find a lot of VmWare Mac images on famous torrent sites. This images has an unlocker for VMware that enable it to run Mac OS images.
