I'm watching this webinar replay video, and I want to download the video since he says he is taking it down in a few days. The site is on OptimizePress, and I'm guessing maybe it is hosted on Amazon S3?

It is not hosted on YouTube, as I could easily download the video if it was embedded on YouTube with RealPlayer software.

Do you think the video is hosted on Amazon, and if so, could I use an Amazon S3 ripper to download the video?

Hey there,

Use IDM - internet download manager. It can download video from any player which streams it from any server. I have downloaded animations, movies, youtube videos webinars etc. etc. It shows a download button on top of video. Click on it and then begin downloading.

There are Firefox plugins for this, as well.

The download link doesn't appear after I downloaded the internet download manager. It shows up for other videos, but not on this page. It looks like he has the video locked down so you can't rip it. Does anyone have any other suggestions?

paste the url in idm ...
open idm and u will see a add url button... paste the url there!

That only downloads the webpage where the video can be watched. It doesn't download the video embedded on the page.

yea, there are different tools/addons to do that, however sometimes none of them will work
but,
have you checked your temp folder yet? these streaming videos can be found there, you just need to locate it, you won't find it by filename, so if you have too many files in the folder, just order them by date/size, make sure you played the content from start to end and rename its extension to .flv or any other video type extension, it doesn't really matter

Also try right-clicking and then view source. Often times, you can find where the video is stored, and then you can download it once you paste the video's location in your address bar or download manager.

Its very easy if you use Internet Download Manager. it will automatically popup a button called download when you play any video. On the other hand you can see the video source.

Thanks

I usually use the software called "URL Snooper"...it "snoops" for the direct url of the video file itself (you can then download it)

If all else fails, you can do the "vcr method" where you use a screen recording software like camtasia
