Hello everyone, I run seo for 10 clients and for my business as well. I was on the first page locally in my city under the services that I offer and suddenly after the penguin update i'm > 100. The other websites that I work on are doing great, they even slightly increased its position. I've been using the same strategy for all of them so I think that adding my website to the sandbox is a mistake. The only thing that I could think of that was different from the other websites is that by mistake I added a review rich snippet to the main page and all subpages. Do you think that Google would filter me for this?

What are your strategies to get out of the filter? Did anyone manage to get out of the filter after the penguin? If so, what did you do?

this is also my problem in a local competition. my site got beaten by a site with ZERO backlink.

Yea, did you rank well in Google Places or organic search?

There are some methods to get out of the penalty without using the 301. Do you guys know any?

Before penguin existence, over optimization was not considered as a bad practice. It is part of white hat seo. Now, it seems adequate to black hat seo. Stop over optimization, make quality backlinks, don't use public network backlink service.

He could have thinked of the second one i suppose...!

You bought a PR domain and 301'd to your money site? Or did you 301 your money site to another domain?
