Hey, Ive been trying to do some blackhat SEO with no luck, and my sites keep doing the Google dance but havent gone near the top 10 spot on Google. The only luck I've had is with whitehat SEO but that takes too long for any action to happen.

I decided to try grayhat SEO since it is a combination of both types of SEO, and its seems ideal for me.

Can anyone point me to some good tutorials, methods, or case studies where people rank using grayhat methods?

Do you have any tips?

I am all ears!

Thanks :)

There aren't any tutorials because grey-hat doesn't exist as a 'method', it's just a term we use to describe a conceptual strategy.

It simply means using black hat tools with a white hat ethic. It's about volume link building but with reasonable quality content. It's not using quick and dirty tricks to rank so that you maintain your rankings and some stability.

It's less aggressive than BH but still uses automated tools for the volume required.

At the end of the day black/grey/white hat doesn't exist. They're terms used as labels (which are highly inaccurate because everyone has a different idea of what they mean.)

Effeective SEO is as aggressive as it needs to be for the market you're trying to penetrate. It's as simple as that.

Use what worked when you did white hat and scale it up with tools. Do it slowly and monitor, measure and test. When you get the hang of it you can start pushing harder.

Any strategies that you know of using "grayhat-esque" ways of doing SEO? Write high quality content-build web 2.0-blast web 2.0 sites with Scrapebox? Is there more to this?

what kind of blackhat SEO were you doing?

I was building forum links to my money site (not using Xrumer so it wasnt a large blast), then I also made around 20 web 2.0 articles all with the same article then blasted them with scrapebox autoapprove list.
