How do you rank 400 locations?

Hi everyone, i have a website for webdesign and i want to rank it with the keywords:

Webdesign + location
Webdesigner + location
Webdesign Agency + location

I want to rank 400 locations in vienna and all near by locations.

The structure is

www.mywebsite.at/webdesign/agency-location1
www.mywebsite.at/webdesign/agency-location2
www.mywebsite.at/webdesign/agency-location3

and it goes on and on up to 400 different locations.



Up until now, i managed to rank 40 diferrent locations from 50 pages that i created till now (my website is a little bit strong.)

weak locations are quite easy to rank.
But i have trouble ranking harder locations where there is a bit competition.

So what do i do now?
Do i put backlinks with anchor of the location for each of the location where i am on position very low?
Or do i put another strong links on the main page?

Please help me

You should like both to the homepage and to location pages.

For tougher locations you can build high-quality, location-specific backlinks to those individual pages and also strengthen your main page with strong links to boost overall domain authority

well, see where that competition beat you and try to catch up. Also, I've heard that reviews and NAPs help with local rankings, so get as many of these as you can... social media is probably also a good strategy to rank locally (plus that you get some traffic too)

Have you started generating leads and closing deals with the site?
