I've got a few subs, and one of them has about 25,000 members in the cryptocurrency niche. It's really active, lots of natural upvotes for posts, lots of posts each day.

How would you put a price on it if you were going to sell it? Any estimations of value?

** Please save myself and yourself them time by not PM'ing me about selling it, I will ignore any attempts to try to initiate a trade as I am a) not selling it, and b) not able to sell it according to the rules here even if I wanted to, which I don't. This is a thought exercise only.

Nobody will buy a sub, there is no reason to do so.

How is DAU being measured for a sub?

You would have to scrape the sub and do some analysis on voting and comments and compare it to a massive sub like askreddit and look for anything that looks sketchy.

Thanks for the idea. I think in this case basing it on revenue would make more sense, but appreciate the input.

I guess you're right, there's certainly no reason to buy a sub. Thanks for the insight.

You seem to be triggered for whatever reason, reddit is a very community driven platform, a "buyer" would know that and without a community sub does not exist, so good luck trying to make an easy dollar.

I was actually trying to be polite to you under the circumstances, what you said came from a place of complete ignorance.

My guess is you've never actually bought or sold a subreddit, so I'm not really sure why you're trying to provide advice on it.

Yes, I would never buy/sell one for my previous comment. But I've been around the internet probably longer than you've been alive so I kinda got a pulse on reddit :)

Try to monetize it for a few months, if it goes well you could flip it for a good price.

Lol, literally everyone's used Reddit, everyone's used the internet a shitload, I don't know why you think that is something exceptional.. you'd never buy/sell a sub because you don't know enough about it to realise that you can make money from it... that's it.

Anyway, like I said.. thanks for the advice.

dummie, read my comment carefully, reddit is driven by a community, if something changes in a community reddiots are quickly to catch on and leave it. Redditors are some of the most hard headed people online, fine I will price is, 50 cents.

You are the same type of teenager that "flips on OGU"

Listen champ, you don't know what the f you're talking about.

I gave you a chance to leave it there - you're obviously struggling with lockdown or something and want to get it off your chest. There's better ways to do it that being a dick here.

I have 400 Reddit accounts I grow autonomously with bots posting tens of thousands of posts each day.. please either learn what I'm talking about with the subs so we can have a productive discussion or go and teach someone else about how "reddit is driven by a community" and "Redditors are some of the most hard headed.. blah blah".. most redditors are absolute dweebs tbh, self-important gimps that think what they say matters a lot more than it really does.

I don't care about you answering this question any more.. do yourself a favour and chill the f out please.

Uhhh I do have a question about your subreddit can I pm you about it (no, I'm not asking to buy it)?

Ummmm that's not reddit works? They have very strict anti-spam filters lol, this is entertaining you blatantly lie now "400 accounts posting tens of thousands of posts each day"...usually spam accounts get auto banned, if the account has decent karma you can post every 15 minutes or so...so do keep going :)

P.S: you are trying to insult people on reddit by calling them "dweebs" and "gimps" while you are on BHW talking about "selling subreddits"...oh the irony.

You are one of the self-important dweebs I was talking about btw incase that one was too heavily disguised for you.

What are you trying to get your 21st "thanks" in 10 years or what?

Oh what has BHW have become, teenagers being keyboard warriors on here :) but maybe you can make some fortnite money mate. I recommend getting a 9-5 job, maybe even cutting lawns for you mate.

I've already mentioned the rough # of followers and the niche.. there's nothing else I can really tell you about it privately. Shoot it through if it's not something you can just post here publicly, but I'm not selling it or anything else at all.

You wouldn't know what BHW has become because you signed up and then didn't do anything for a decade. I'm mid 30's you silly wanker, go pollute some other area of the forum.

You surely are not in your 30's I give about 13-15 max. Yes I did sign up a decade ago, but I built a great career for myself, pretty public one as well - google is your friend. I also drop by every once in a while to see what has been new, but "l33t k1dd13s" always amuses me.

Take my advice on reddit, I use it daily for marketing purposes and I truly got to know a lot of communities first hand, not fake "tens of thousands of posts" a day with 400 accounts that have 15 min cooldowns :)

Good luck
