I know this thread is sort of weird,

I was just wondering how you pronounce the word "niche", I've always pronounced it "neesh" (probably has to do with the fact I'm French and it's a French word) but I've heard it pronounced "nitch"

    Which one is right?

Pretty sure "Neesh" is right, but I tend to say "Nish" more often than "Neesh". I correct myself if I'm talking in person sometimes, but normally when I look at the word, I think of "Nish".

It's pronounced "Nitch" sort of like the word "switch" at least according to American-English.

Never thought of looking it up on dictionary.com, it's the same on google translate. It's not gonna keep me from thinking "neesh" every time I read it though.

neesh , or at least that's how the French say it and it's a French word.

I used to install tile for a living, and we install them in shower/tub walls. it's a small opening where you sit soap, or whatever else. assuming thats where the word comes from...

depends on where you come from. in America we tend to screw up words anyway....
