How do you promote your link

I am working on getting instagram followers. I post High Quality content, I have gotten about 100 over the past hour or so. I am wondering, What is the best way to promote a link. In all the picures I post, I have a link to my webste. But, noone goes to it.

Is there a better way to promote and make money?

I am a member of a few cpa sites. I run a wordpress/forum site. I planned on just using ads on the site for revenue. But is there a better way? Maybe CPM? CPC?

If you have engaging pics that have some sort of call to action in your comments then users will click. However, not all of them will do it. Around 1%-5% of my total followers click on my links.
