How Do You Pick Topics That Actually Get Read?

I've observed that although some articles receive a lot of views, others hardly receive any. The choice of topic appears to be very important. What criteria do you use to choose what to write about? Do you use trending news, keyword research, or your own experience?

Evergreen niches are my go-to, but I sprinkle in trending stuff for short-term spikes.
 
Honestly, on Reddit it’s simple: cats, chaos, or confessions - everything else is just unpredictable to get boosted. Basically world hot trends and personal things are hot, but there was never a day when anything related to cats was unseen lol. That's for reddit obv not Youtube or so
 
Go to magazine-style sites in your niche, that have a "most popular" or most read section. Go to active forums in the niche that list the numbers of people who recently read or replied to a thread. Etc. Do enough of this, and you'll have an idea of which topics attract the most eyeballs.

I usually search for trending news and then treat it as a cluster. However, all of this also depends from business to business. Different things provide you with different solutions.
 
If your goal is to generate traffic, trending news works better. For credibility, your own experience tells the story.
 
You can study your competitors, or consider evergreen topics like cats. Try different formats—short texts, longreads. Try different tones. Success will come with experimentation. And at least once a year, rewrite unsuccessful articles.
 
In general, it may be useful to combine keyword research with trending topics and focus on clear, problem-solving subjects. Understanding what the audience is searching for usually helps more than guessing topics.
 
I usually pick topics where keyword research shows clear demand and low competition, then layer in trends or personal experience to make them stand out........
 
I also search the latest news article that have good reach and also there is some good websites they can give best key word according to the market
