Hello

I have an idea of a service. I want to hire content writer to do all the content on the website and a designer to create a good design for website.

How do you approach this situation? should I hire designer first or writer?

When I look at competitors website or any other services based website, there are many content elements on the website that make users to take decision and those are generally wrapped around good graphics or visually look good.

What is best way to go forward with this situation?

If I hire designer first, he would not know what is content and what graphics to add on the website for particular content and If i hire writer first, he would not know the layout or structure of the website and what content call to actions or text to add matching with the structure of the website.

How do you plan to outsource your content and website design part?

TIA

Can you please show examples of both content creation and designing that you have done in the past?

At first you need to get a designer to launch the website. You see, your design might be different. It can be a wordpress website with predefined theme, or it can be made with scratch. With the predefined theme, there are a very few options for you to write on the fixed portions. So it would be better to get a designer first. Also, do keyword research at the same time.

try the joint venture board. this kind of business idea comes up a lot there.
some people are great at website design but don't have it in them to do the customer acquisition side of things. so it works out for everyone.
ideally your web dev is capable of basic copywriting skills and i would say most of them have the capacity.
imo doesnt matter. the content writer just writes articles. doesnt matter what the site looks like. a site doesn't even need to exist for them to do their job.
seems you are looking for a copy writer. in which case just hire the web dev first. then have the copy writer step in. don't over think it.
