I'm running an e-commerce site and I've identified 28 competitors within the same niche. My idea was to get all backlinks (Ahrefs) and go through them to try and copy them. This is a daunting task though with some competitors having 2000+ referring domains and I want to avoid going over the same domains for each competitor.
My idea now is to have a document listing all referring domains sorted by domain ranking from all competitors and whenever I click on one, it will expand and I'll see example backlinks from that specific domain. Then I should be able to categorize domains (forum/blog/bought/newspaper/PBN) and pick out domains I can copy and mark domains that I already have backlinks from.
Any idea if this is available or would I have to write something myself? My original plan was to use Excel but I'm not sure how well I can group URLs based on domains or what happens if I want to add new backlinks in six months.
How are you doing it?
