I’ve been freelancing in SEO for a while, and tool costs are starting to add up as I take on more clients. When it’s just one or two projects, the monthly fees feel fine. But with several clients at once, it gets harder to justify paying for multiple tools every month.
Most clients don’t really think about the tools behind the work. They just expect results, so it’s not always easy to pass those costs on to them.
Right now I’m trying to keep my setup small and only use tools I really need.
How do you handle tool costs when your client list grows?
