Well scrapebox and xrumer are used for blackhat, for whitehat you'd probably have to go with directory submission software, press release software, and social bookmarking software (or scripts).

I pretty much just comment on blogs because it's the easiest and quickest to get a link up, but nowhere near the most quality link.

I would like to have a software where I will store all informations on projects. With that I mean what have I done (directory submition, 10000comments with SB...) and what Iam going to do.

@CasinoJack: I have signed up at your page, but i dont see anythink like writing down what have i dont and so one... Is this app just for tracking backlinks and such?

All work is done manually in our company. We simply create reports using Internet Business Promoter and send it across to our clients. That's about it!

Oh ya, xRumer is used but only upon written permission granted by the client. We explain the risks involved and if they agree, we go ahead and use xrumer. Ofcourse not on their website, but on the network that we build to pump juice to theirs. It's a tiered system, if you know what I'm talking about.

depends entirely on how large your SEO projects are, if your using a few hundread / thousand microsites etc then a links database is handy to keep track of whos linking to who, with what anchor text and PR etc, but for managing projects in general i use ACT / Goldmine, but depends if your SEO is entirely for your own benefit or whether you are managing a client base and need to keep tabs / contact clients and so on

i know alot of people don't like ACT, but I find it very efficient when it comes to scheduling tasks and keeping ontop of things, especially when im swamped with tasks

Though I don't find the answers very useful, I am sure this is a great question!

Actually the other thread is about "management".

The question in that thread is what's a good way to manage all the data for all your different websites and other IM projects. I don't see the major difference between that question and yours.

You may be able to gather more information in this current thread, but so far there is more info in the other thread.

Managing all this data is the foundation of managing your business. Some people have worked out pretty simple methods to manage all their different projects. Scheduling and tracking all aspects including accounts, websites, backlink urls, keywords, opportunities, etc.

When you read through that other thread, just skip the replies that only talk about roboform and you might be able to get some good ideas. Some of the responses are about accounts and passwords specifically, but there are also many other replies about managing all aspects of the work, including SEO projects such as you're interested in.

The most common method mentioned is to use standard business management tools such as spreadsheets, and then organizing all the individual projects into seperated folders, but there were a few other suggestions as well.

The problem with using that tool, is that once you start having to manage too many accounts it stops being as efficient. The brain can only keep track of so many things at one time.
