    Hi,

For those of you who do SEO yourself on multiple sites of your own (or others)...

How do you structure and organize things?

With sites and keywords and long tail keywords on all sites, I am finding it extremely hard to organize things and build links to all my keywords while backlinking all the backlinks.

Any resources, tools, articles (ANYTHING) that you have used or are using that have helped you?

And no, I am not interested in outsourcing...

Thanks a lot for any input.

Simple notepad. That works best for me. Although I still didn't cross 50 sites yet.

When I generate a site, I also generate a .txt file that goes in the root directory that describes the url structure and the keywords used. Also all url and keyword data goes into a mysql database, along with the niche and batch, so if I want to return a bunch of urls that use the same keyword, are in the same niche, or belong to the same batch of sites, it's easy.

All my backlinks go into a mysql database so it's easy to pull out random backlinks for backlinking my backlinks.

I have close to 90 sites right now and it's a handful for sure. At least for me, It's hard to manage this many properly without outsourcing. Organization is key- notepad, excel, MSword, etc.

Easier for me with pen and paper, so I wrote up sheets for every site. Name, url, keywords, CPC, and room to add notes -- lots of other stuff too, even have a section on how they are monetized and with whom.

What part of organization specifically is your issue? I can only really speak for myself but with me, the biggest challenge is handling all my content for different keywords across various niches, coupled with the fact that I post to the same blogs multiple times. Most of my streamlining is done with coding.

What worked for me is having my bots choose random files or lines in a file. So if I want it to fill in a text field for usernames, I have it grab a random username from a list of 1,000 users, for example. Same goes for other things such as youtube embed codes, image urls, image files, passwords, email addresses, etc. This really helps to simplify data organization, since I can just dump all the information into the proper folder. The program also automatically writes the usernames and passwords used to a separate file, so that I can post to the created accounts again. I save this information into dated keyword folders, such as Blue Widgets-1-010112, meaning Tier 1 from January 1st, 2012 for the keyword blue widgets. I do similar tricks with my spun content, using a program to set different anchor text and link placement each time, so that I don't have to worry about that when I write the spun articles.

It seems simple, but this has saved me LOTS of time, no longer having to worry about the organization of this kind of data for my different keywords--I've made it so that it's all easy to change out.

From there, I only have to worry about which keywords and sites to focus on that day, which can be managed with excel or a simple to-do-list in notepad.
