Do you just build them up and then leave them? I can see that working, but then the old sites will eventually drop in ranking, right? So you just have to keep building sites?
Have you ever had a peg gerbil or a hamster? For sure you put one of those little wheels in their cage so they could run and make it spin round and round and round.
Well... that's what building and managing 100 micro niche sites is like.
Enjoy the kibble.![]()

Frank...... like denim building a bajillion garbage micro niche sites is old news. I say spend your time creating a couple large sites in niches that people buy tons of shit in.
Put lots of work and creativity into them and do it routinely. You will have much more success.
Must be good articles then.
Google have an actually printed policy that actively descriminates against these sites since August 12th 2009.
I'll find it and post the wording of it here.

Matt>>: Yep. And in fact, Vanessa?s very fun
to read. I like one of her posts, ?Micro sites,
a bad idea most of the time.? [laughter] It?s
sort of an underselling way to say don?t make
500 different sites, concentrate more on making
one good site that has branding and stuff
like that. It can be really handy. Yeah?
>>: Yeah, I have a question about domain extensions.
It?s tough to get good dot coms.
Matt>>: Um-hum.
>>: And just wondering if you guys have, give
preference over a dot com versus a dot info
for example.
Tiffany>>: Always go with dot info?s, they?re
awesome. [Audience laughs]
He mentioned it again just last month. Here is an exerpt from a presentation given at IO
That last part was actually a joke in case you didn't understand the context of how she said it.![]()
Thanks for all the advice. I'll see if I can work on building middle to large sized sites for the long run.
I don't really know anything about building websites, though, and I obviously don't have the money to hire someone just yet. Will a really nice wordpress theme I find work?
