How do you make your money?

Hey BHW,

I know the question sounds a little blunt and even rude but I'm curious as to how people make money online. I'm sure this question has been asked several times and I'm sorry for asking it again. I haven't found a thread where people say what they do. For the most part people are just saying they work online, or at least from what I've seen.

I've been searching through the forum and noticed that some say they do SEO , while others say they use Craigslist and Youtube to make their income. I had no idea you could make money using Youtube. I also read some where that people make money with/using CPA. What's that?

From everything I've read SEO pays the best but is the most time consuming and takes a lot of patience. I also read that some are making 1,000/mon. with Youtube and Craigslist. How is that possible? Anyway, if you don't mind sharing I'd like to hear what it is you do. You don't have to give a step by step run down of what your work day consists of (lol) but I would like to hear if you use Youtube, Craigslist, SEO, or something else. It'd be nice if you added exactly what it is you do. Do you promote things? Do you buy and sell? I know how SEO works (I done very, very, extremely light SEO work in the past) but Craigslist and Youtube are new ones for me. Thanks to those that respond.

Hello, I understand that you are a little lost as all of these is a little new to you.

The basic idea is to promote stuffs. You have a product and you place it somewhere where you can get a lot of traffic to see your product. Now, this product can be your own product or can be someone else's product. What CPA companies do is they give you "offers/surveys" and also physical products sometimes. You can take those offers/products and promote them yourself and when some user fills up an offer/buys a product, you get a commission. That's basically how the whole system works.

You mentioned youtube. The reason YT is a popular choice for making money online is that it has a LOT of traffic. Now, you have to learn the ins and outs of driving that traffic to your product by yourself. That's the art of internet marketing.

I suggest you check the sticky threads of the "Making Money" section. You'll gradually start to get it.

JK. I too market products online. Spend some time viewing what others are doing and don't be afraid to jump in and get your feet wet. Take slow and calculated steps so that profit can be attained in a brief period of time. Good luck.
